You sang the song five, eight, ten times. Somewhere in those passes is the best version of every line. Comping is the editorial work of finding it: comparing takes word by word for pitch, tone, diction, and emotion, then splicing the winners together so the listener hears a single confident performance.

Timing alignment that locks to the track

After the comp is built we align it to the instrumental: consonants land on the beat where the groove needs it, and phrases keep their natural push and pull where it matters. Doubles, ad-libs, and harmony stacks are then aligned to the lead so the stack sounds like one wide voice instead of several separate ones.

Upload WAV or AIFF takes directly from the pricing section, or paste a Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer link in the notes field. Include the instrumental at the same sample rate and tell us the bar the vocals start on if the files aren't from bar one.

Comping plus tuning in one pass

Most artists order comping together with pitch correction, because both jobs use the same edited timeline. Adding tuning in the same order keeps the edits consistent and costs less than booking the two separately.
